Software for all publishing needs
Software should support the activities of our clients. The software is not the goal and it should not change the way in which the company - our client - works. All the software should do is make existing processes easier and thus help the client create a better or more profitable product.
Our software therefore doesn't include the bells and whistles that often hide the true functionality of computer programs nowadays. Easy to use interfaces and solid core functionality are all it takes to get “the job done”
Funny name
Jonge Helden translates as “Young Heroes”. Now, after almost 10 years (Jonge Helden was founded in 2000) this name feels a bit strange. However the name still reflects what we do: combine guts with experience and knowledge. More then just create software for clients we are entrepreneurs and creators. We run our own printing presses ourselves. Not that we were printers, we just had a software product without a market: so we created a market.
van Speijk award
In 2008 Jonge Helden was announced “the most innovative company in the Dutch Printing Industry”. According to the jury Jonge Helden has shown to be able to re-invent the publishing process and managed to add value to existing production methods through innovative new software and new products.
The van Speijk award is granted annualy by amongst others the Royal Dutch Printing Industry Society (KVGO).
<pagebreak />
<pagebreak /> is a “Publishing Engine”. It is a backbone (API) that is able to combine stylesheet information with user-supplied text and images and create ready-to-print PDF files. From business cards to photo-books <pagebreak /> can make sure the end-result will look professional and follow all style rules.
<pagebreak /> lives in the cloud and it's functionality can easily be incorporated in web-based or desktop applications. Storage of text, images and the PDF files is handled by the engine itself.

SMIC
Based on the <pagebreak /> engine we have developed a front-end that is a complete multi-user editorial and lay-out application. It uses a standard web-browser as the only application on the users computer. Geared towards the publication of color magazines the application is used to produce over 800 different magazines.
For more information visit the SMIC website.
AdFactory suite
For newspaper and magazine publisher we have developed the AdFactory suite to aid them in the workflow of advertisements. First released in 2003 AdFactory is now used by over 500 newspapers and magazines from the Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland and New Zealand.
AdFactory is marketed and supported by a separate company, AdFactory International BV.
